Pregnancy Yoga by Yogabellies
The classes run in 8 week blocks which costs £80 in total.
Each class lasts an hour and 15 minutes. You will also receive a Yogabellies Birth Pack which includes information on Pre natal nutrition, breathing techniques and some local pregnancy services information.
There is also a Yogabellies Deep Relaxation & Self Hypnosis for Childbirth CD included in your pack.
Who is this course for?
Any mum-to-be over 16 weeks pregnant.
If you are experiencing a normal pregnancy and would like to join the course in your third trimester this is fine but we would advise you to speak with your doctor or midwife prior to beginning the class.
If you have any pre-existing medical conditions or have had any serious problems during pregnancy please run this past your GP or midwife before starting the class and discuss with me.
I haven’t tried Yoga before - is this course for me?
Absolutely! Most of our mums are new to Yoga and trying it for the first time. That said, if you have had a good Yoga practice prior to pregnancy this is also a worthwhile course.
You can book the class by paying a £20 deposit. PayPal, cheque or online transfer at the time of booking. Balance is due at the first class
What happens at the classes?
I only take a max of 15 mums per class so you will get lots of one-to-one attention and each week we cover a different topic such as bonding with baby, pre natal nutrition or preparing for the big day.
We also cover things like breathing techniques for labour and positions for labour too.
The yoga postures are all suitable for pregnancy and will be adapted to suit your trimester, focus on building strength, stamina while keeping you flexible and fit. This class offers yoga for pregnancy but also covers birth education and offers the opportunity to meet like minded mums locally.
I will provide:
Yoga mats, blocks, straps for use in the class & also blankets for relaxation.
Bottles of water are available at the centre & I will also supply tea & biscuits for after class! :-)
You need to bring:
Comfortable clothing that you can move in – leggings or jog suit bottoms and a vest or t shirt should be fine.
Socks and a warm jumper or cardigan for during relaxation.
Bottle of water to sip from.
Please note Yoga is traditionally practiced barefoot so you will not need any special footwear.
